About Trip:

This is an adventurous trek that combines the best of the Everest Region into a single trek. The Gokyo Valley to Everest Base Camp journey includes two of the greatest viewpoints in the world as well as a climb over the Cho La, the exciting high pass that connects the Gokyo and Everest Valleys. If you are looking for the thrills of a lifetime, this is ideal for you!
At Everest Base Camp we will see the Khumbu Ice fall up close and get an idea of what it might be like for climbers to pass through it on the way to Everest’s heights. We also make hikes up to Kala Pattar and visit Gokyo Ri with unimaginable panoramas of the of the peaks and surrounding Himalayan landscape. The trek travels through Nepal’s largest glacier, Ngozumba Glacier before climbing to the high pass of Cho La and connecting two exhilarating valleys.
The mountain views along the Gokyo Valley Trek include the unforgettable peaks of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, Pumori, Thamserku and many more. This extraordinary trek visits the Sherpa homeland and their stately monasteries with a chance to witness the Sherpa mountain lifestyle and surrounding flora and fauna.
It all begins in Kathmandu with a tour of the Valley and its World Heritage Sites and bustling marketplaces. From Kathmandu, we enjoy a scenic morning flight to Lukla. We then enter the Khumbu region through Namche Bazaar, a lively market town. The trek follows up the pristine Gokyo Valley surrounded by astonishing peaks in a spellbinding setting. Our cozy lodge is located next to the third of the six lakes in a majestic locale. We enjoy a hike to GokyoRi view point, before crossing the Cho La to Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar. We eventually make a satisfying journey back to Namche Bazaar and scheduled flight from Lukla.
There are many choices for more trekking in the Everest area, and if you would like to extend your travels, just let us know and we will arrange according to your schedule!
We have fixed departures and custom treks that can be arranged any day to suit your needs and schedule. Himalaya Hikes looks forward to guiding you into the spectacular Everest Region and the most exhilarating scenery in Nepal!
